Who we are
We occupy a unique space in today’s world. As a Christian organization—but not a church—we offer an educational and training environment without being an academic institution. At our core, we are a library devoted to the pursuit of knowledge and wisdom. But to benefit from our vast collection, you must come and study.
In a broader sense we exist to provide a space where people from all walks of life can encounter truth, beauty, and goodness through the resources we uniquely offer. We welcome academics, students, and seekers to join us in building meaningful community.
Locally, we cultivate community through classes, lectures, and panels led by scholars and experts across a variety of topics. We offer space for study, access to theological resources, and lodging for visiting scholars and students. Globally, we extend our reach through a robust video library and podcast content designed for education and formation.
As part of our weekly rhythm, we also offer a 30-minute chapel service on Wednesdays at 11:30 AM—a time set aside for reflection, prayer, and worship open to all who wish to attend.
Our mission is to extend God’s kingdom by fostering honest dialogue, reflecting the grace of Jesus, and remaining humbly thankful for what God has provided.
What we are not
The Lanier Theological Library is a private, not-for-profit foundation, and all events we host are designed to support our mission to educate, train, and encourage faith in the trustworthiness of our triune God. Mission-focused gatherings always take precedence. While we honor and respect personal milestones—such as weddings, quinceañeras, showers, and graduations—these are not the intended uses of the resources entrusted to us. We are not an event center, and we ask all visitors, photographers, and content creators to respect our purpose and help us preserve this space for theological study, spiritual reflection, and meaningful engagement.
We invite you not only to honor these guidelines, but also to join us in this special mission of fostering faith, learning, and the pursuit of truth, beauty, and goodness.
