Deepen your understanding of the New Testament and learn to read the Scripture in its original language. Explore the poetry and nuances that are sometimes lost in translation or buried in the footnotes of your study bible.
Greek – Introductory & Intermediate
The Lanier Theological Library and Learning Center offers both introductory and intermediate Greek courses. The introductory class focuses on vocabulary, grammar, and foundational reading skills. The intermediate class builds on this by exploring advanced grammar and translating biblical texts in a group setting, with attention to their theological significance.
Courses are taught by Dr. Steven Jones, a pastor and professor with over 20 years of experience. He currently serves the Director of Global Theological Education for Hamoreh Ministries and has taught Greek at HCU, Rice, Baylor, the University of Texas, and Trinity University.
